1. Who operates the application
Athena Sound Radio Control is a private application operated solely by the owner of the Athena Sound YouTube channel. It runs on operator-controlled local hardware and is not offered to third parties as a service.
2. Information the application accesses
The application may access the following information:
- Channel, video, playlist, and active broadcast metadata.
- Read-only YouTube Analytics metrics for the operator's channel.
- Public comments and public live-chat messages, including display name, channel identifier, avatar, message text, role indicators, and publication time.
- Google OAuth credentials for the channel operator, including an access token and refresh token.
- Local operational records such as synchronization status, scene actions, and API error diagnostics.
3. Why the information is used
Information is used only to:
- Operate and monitor the Athena Sound live broadcast.
- Show channel and broadcast analytics to the channel operator.
- Detect eligible public chat messages and trigger local on-screen interactions.
- Maintain reliability, prevent duplicate actions, and diagnose faults.
- Meet legal and YouTube API Services compliance obligations.
YouTube API data is not sold, licensed, used for advertising, or used to create profiles for unrelated purposes.
4. Google OAuth and YouTube API Services
The application uses Google OAuth 2.0 and requests the read-onlyyoutube.readonly andyt-analytics.readonly scopes. Only the channel operator signs in.
Use of information received from YouTube API Services follows the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Storage and security
Application data is stored on operator-controlled local storage. OAuth credentials are excluded from public source code and public web pages. Access is limited through operating-system permissions and private network controls. No method of storage is completely secure, but reasonable technical measures are used to limit unauthorized access.
6. Retention and deletion
YouTube API data is retained only for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as permitted by YouTube API Services policies. Data subject to refresh or deletion requirements is refreshed or deleted within the applicable period. OAuth credentials are retained until access is disconnected or revoked.
The operator can remove OAuth credentials immediately. Viewers may request removal of locally retained public chat information by following the instructions on the Data Deletion page.
7. Sharing
Data is not sold or shared with data brokers. Public chat text and display names may be rendered in the public broadcast as part of the interactive experience. Service providers involved in Google and YouTube API delivery process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Your choices
- Do not post in the public live chat if you do not want a message displayed.
- Delete your own YouTube message where YouTube provides that control.
- Request deletion of eligible locally retained information.
- The channel operator may revoke OAuth access from the Google Account permissions page.
9. Contact
Privacy and deletion requests can be directed to the operator through the public business contact method listed on the Athena Sound channel. Include the relevant YouTube channel name, message date, and approximate publication time so the record can be located.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the application's data practices or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
